I have seen the commercial for Black Snake Moan a couple of times and don't have any idea what the movie is about.

The girl on the chain is hot. I guess that is what is causing Samuel Jackson's snake to moan.
 
there is a different trailer on apple's website. from what i remember, the girl is some kind of slut, sam jackson is driving down a dirt road and finds her passed out (dressed like she is in the commercials) and beaten up pretty good, so he takes her to his place to help her, talks to ppl and finds out shes a slut, then chains her up to straighten her up or something.
 
He supposedly learned to play the guitar and sings the blues himself in this movie, and does a particularly good job. They say one song he sings is more vulgar than anything you've heard and makes gangsta rap look tame.

And she's looking quite good these days. Her face is still a bit "different", but she's got a great body and I definitely would consider her looks "cute".

This is going to be one of those "favorite movies" that everyone claims just because it doesnt have some run of the mill plot and the average person would look at previews or watch it and say they don't get it.

Samuel L Jackson seems to have a fixation with Snakes.... WTH is with all of the low budget films he is making now?
 
I saw this movie tonight. It was actually a good movie. It had a lot of humor and was more of a dark humor movie than anything. It has a good story too.

It's definitely not nearly as strange/weird as I expected. Sam Jackson did a great job singing and playing the guitar.

And the Adams Family chick has a nice rack.
 
I got a good laugh when I 1st heard the name of this movie.
Black snake moan........can it get any more sexually suggestive? lol

ok so i just saw this movie today with a female friend and we both LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!! it was really good! just the characters, the acting, the interaction between characters, some of the filming (like when jackson was playing his guitar and ricci is sitting on the floor in her dress and there is lighting in both windows on either side of her in the back).
if you think this is just another dumb movie like Snakes on a Plane you are wrong. We saw The Zodiac last night which was eh very slow and boring, but this movie was GOOD!

Well see, Samuel Jackson is black, so you can infer what "black snake" is, and "moan", well... former is cause and latter is effect.
