WRONG FORUM!
Anyway, now that that's taken care of (I need this fixed sometime this century plz),,,
Earlier this morning, I was able to log in to my home computer through remote desktop. Fine. I killed that instance of remote desktop (just as I always do) without logging off and went about my business. Now, whenever I connect back to the system, I don't even get the login prompt, just a black screen. I can disconnect and reconnect and whatever, but I get nothing but a black screen. I've tried connecting with various settings and from various systems and subnets (including where I logged in from earlier) - same deal.
I have NO idea what the system is physically doing... Because I'm 30 miles away from it, and nobody's home to call and see WTF is going on.
And yes, I've tried just typing my login info into the black screen - nothing changes.
