So let me get this straight. The "logic" seems to be:

1) He won't entertain the conspiracy theorists, so it proves that it must be true.
2) No respected source is sufficient for discrediting the theory; instead, the truth is held by loons that fight the good fight through blogs and YouTube videos. Actually, you're wrong. There are lots of conditions where the child of one U.S. citizen is an American citizen. Look it up if it means enough to you. I'm not going to waste my time to dig up links and quotes.

Basically you are correct except there is an exception to that.

Quick question though, if someone couldn't find their birth certificate (maybe because the family moved from Hawaii to Seattle to Indonesia to Hawaii to Kansas or something along those lines), what do you think they'd do?

Personally I'd contact the appropriate state department. They'd probably look it up on a computer and print out a new one. Believe it or not, this is what the Obama campaign did thinking it'd put the issue to rest. The tinfoil hat brigade has refused to be appeased. The Obama campaign has given the kooks the level of attention they deserve.
