Yeah, I haven't had any problems with the game, but gameplay is awful. I agree with what someone else said in that the game just doesn't seem like its a big title game. Kind of has a cheap feel to it.

The last time I was really into computer games was the days of Wolfenstein enemy territory. I loved that game so much.

I was unsure whether or not to buy this game due to all the problems people have had, but I went ahead and got a steam key on ebay for ~$30, the key worked perfectly fine MP/SP.

Game itself has worked for ~99% of my playtime. I have had maybe two instances of stutter (no more than 1-2 sec duration) out of ~5 hours of game time. Right after the stuttering everything would be fine again. I can easily chalk that up to my computer at that point.

So from my limited experience, the game works well. The mechanics I am still too new to really comment on, but I don't find anything terribly out of line. (I'm all ears for overpowered pointers)

The game mechanics of (return to castle) Wolfenstein were laughable to me. I only played in the beta because it didn't warrant a purchase. But I can tell you of countless times I snatched the flag on w/e that beach map was in the beta, and hopped my way to victory while spamming med packs to myself. Hopefully they've tweaked things since then. Can't comment on enemy territory other than the fact it was released as freeware cuz they did such a bad job on it.

It's a fun game overall.

What I see more to come , which I can't say I agree with, is manipulating the character physics and animations . For instance, the Light Weight perk gives the player the ability to strafe left and right easier, hard line pro gives you the ability to flinch less while being shot, and marathon pro allows you to run all the time but you are really not saving much, if any, amount of time. With the inclusion of all those animation tweaks and perks, really makes the game seem spontaneous and random rather than a good level battle match up. The one thing I miss most about MW1, though even though the perks were redundant or useless, they did not change the physics of the character. My worry with Black Ops is now that they gave room for physics manipulation, it almost seems like you're being punished or playing on a handicap when you flinch at bullet impacts or cannot unload your knife quick enough when faced with multiple close enemies. Pings also seem a lot more sensitive to the timing of the players actions and enemy reactions.

As for single player, I thought it was a bad move to make the game past-tense. The interrogation scenes were as irritating as nails on a chalk board.

From what I hear, they plan to incorporate more RPG elements in the next Modern Warfare. My guess is they are going to manipulate the game physics even more, and give the battlefield more spontaneous and random.
