Looks like a good deal. Its OEM so I guess its just wrapped in plastic or put in a cheap box? Shipping was $6.10 for me.

edit: ordered it anyways. Too good a price and I need to replace my worn out keyboard.

Don't mean to poop on everyone's parade, but may want to read this review here:
http://www.everythingusb.com/microsoft-sidewinder-x6-gaming-keyboard-15255.html

Just because something is discounted doesn't mean it's good. And I was just going to buy this thing too! Some deal breakers for me:

*Non Detachable Hand Rest
*Red Backlighting
*"Detachable" numpad doesn't work unless "attached" to keyboard. (Whaa?)
*Paint on Keys will wear off due to heavy use according to some reviewers.
*Badly positioned ESc key.
*NO OFFICIAL LINUX SUPPORT....

Still, I suppose at this price I cant complain.

I was going to order this for when my MS Natural Pro Keyboard finally dies. It's been my workhorse for over 10 years now.

When reading the key rubbing off issue, I decided to pass. I'll probably end up getting a mechanical keyboard as a replacement when the time comes.

Red backlighting can be turned off by dimming it all the way down. When I initally got this keyboard awhile ago, the most annoying thing was the placement of the function keys but I'm used to it now. No wear on the paint yet though *knock on wood*

The detachable numpad is not meant to be used on it's own like you assumed. It's meant to be attached on the right or left side of the keyboard, or detached all together for a smaller keyboard.

The only reason I got mine is because I like jog dial volume controls.. and this one has such a large one, it's orgasmic. 😉

If I needed a desktop keyboard, I'd probably get this. Any keyboard paint will come off with use so that's not a dealbreaker. The backlight can be dimmed or disabled, but if you wanted a blue one I guess you're SOL. The detachable numpad is a good idea, but kind of a bummer it doesn't have a wireless connection to the keyboard or something. It might still be moddable to "detach" and still have a small tether going to the connection. Still not a dealbreaker.

I just hope I don't have any ghosting issues with game keys other than that it looks great to me for the price and all the goodies it has.

This is a horrible gaming keyboard. the X4 is a much better product, and yes I have both. I would go as far as saying that my Saitek Eclipse I is better than the X6.

I have the Saitek Executive I that I bought like 7 years ago. And I still use it. I would like to replace it, but anything worthy is well over $100. Contrary to what gorcorps said, my keyboard is highly resistant to any cosmetic wear. It still looks like new, the only issue is that the screws got a little rusty.

I can easily lift off the top part with keys at any point and literally scrub it with soap and water. I did this many, many times, and every time I get a new keyboard all over again. I want to see someone show me another keyboard I can do that with.
