I don't know what's happening, but it makes me crazy. During computer _idle_ or little work, like browsing, I am getting blank screens of death: suddenly everything disappears, _but_ the system is not frozen. Like a blank screensaver.

BUT, cursor is living, I can move the cursor too! If it gets out of screen, it disappears.

Ctrl + Alt + Del works, it makes a _magenta_ screen! Then it becames blank later.

My computer is Asus Maximus Formula + Q6600@3.6 Ghz, Corsair 520HX PSU, and Gainward 8800 GTS 512 MB. The card is not overclocked. The system is very stable (no BSOD or restart for a long time), I can get 24h prime95 with no error. I can play games, work, render, no problem at all. But this blank screen is making me crazy. I use XP 64-bit SP2. Nvidia driver is 169.21 WHQL 64-bit.

I don't even know which component causes the problem. I don't even know if it's a hardware problem. System is well cooled and totally stable for long gaming sessions.

Reduce the OC and see if you still have the same problem.

Have you monitored your temps?

CPU cores are around 50C but I can get them down to 35C with higher fan speeds. NB is 50C, SB is 45C. GPU is 55C.
