But but extra judicial govt violence is law and order! Or at least that's what all the self-described 'strict Constitutionalists' keep telling me..

Seconded by fascists. All in favor, say eye or raise your tiki torch.

As I remarked in my edit, the mentality is basically no different than when LGBT were fighting to legalize their very existence (because being gay was still a crime in most states until 2003) and the conservatives claimed that LGBT wanted 'special rights.' Because apparently, just being allowed to legally exist without being a conservative is a 'special right' or an 'extra right' to conservatives. And if you disagree with that, then they'll just make up some fake alarmist bullshit to justify having you outlawed through guilt by association.
Ah yes, I remember well the argument of "they CAN get married... to someone of the opposite sex, same as anyone else!"

True story, I'm putting my daughter in a new school next fall, and we did a tour of the school the other day. Inside a classroom, I picked up a well-worn textbook labeled 'World History' and began skimming through the pages. One of the first chapters was titled 'Types of Governments,' and the first section of the chapter discusses the differences between free democracies and authoritarian governments. To describe democracies, there was a picture of a large crowd of protesters in front of the US Capitol with the caption 'Protesting the government is considered a basic right in free democracies.' To describe authoritarian governments, there was a picture of a Chinese protester being held facedown by 4 police officers, one of which of whom had a knee in the back of the protester's neck.
I shit you not! And this textbook was not new. No doubt Compuwiz would cite this as an example of 'liberal indoctrination in the schools,' one of his fav topics.

horrible BLM chant, “Pigs In A Blanket, Fry ‘Em Like Bacon”

White Power

- That is so fucked up?
- Trump has gone full Nazi?

Not even joking? He is *ALL IN* on that supremacy shit?
His problem is that his base is not out in numbers as they were in 2016!
So what is Trumps response?
Double down.
Numbers still bad?
Double down again.
And again.
And again.
At some point Adolf will turn over in his grave and say : Damn son.

What did I say?

You know, some of the threads here, its almost like someone in media is watching sometimes...

BLM is an organization that is racist to white people, and subscribes to Marxist ideology. They will eventually become more violent, when people get tired of them and stop kowtowing to their demands. I suspect they may be raising funds, that are not going to the causes they claim to raise them for, but to line certain individual's pockets. We, as the human race have equal rights, as endowed by our creator, not extra rights. Should any and all human beings, in a civilized society, have the right to go paint whatever we want on streets and buildings? If they can do it, so shouldn't I be able to? This is toddlerish behavior, which shouldn't be tolerated by anyone. As I said, equal rights, not rights that subordinate anyone else's. Nobody should be allowed to superiorize themselves over anyone else, which is what BLM is promoting, but this consequence may not be intended, but it's looking that way to me. I can refuse to support that, but still be supportive of black lives and believe that they matter. I'm just not down with the radicalization and division.
You're silly.

Seems one of the national guard troops in California was part of The Proud Boys. It seems so proud he scrolled it on a military vehicle for a picture he took. Is this another “bad apple?”

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, for the moment. "WTF? I was just posing in front of my truck!" It might be true, might not. I'll let the Guard figure it out from whatever else they learn about the guy.

If he is not really a member of the proud Boys it was a terrible case of bad judgement!

We live in a great time, actually.
What is happening is historical.
All the historical crap with race and injustice finally getting the attention it deserves and this is long past due, some 200 years past due. It will take some time, there will be setbacks, and as always people in high places like the Donald Trump’s will use their power to fight against it. And we will have a lot of people that cannot understand nor will they ever understand. People whose deep down racism will make its way to the surface, people that you might know or close family members whom you would have never believed to be racist at all, yet there it is exposed to the world. Lines will be drawn, sides taken.

In the end America will be so much better, so much greater, more just and fair for everyone. But that happening is what many people fear. Those people that do not want fairness or justice or equally. They like the racism and bigotry, but they never call it that because for them acting racist is not racist. Make sense? Many people, powerful people, will fight with all their might against this future America that is inevitable. My concern is within all the noise and distraction, the cause will become tainted. The cause redefined by those who would kill it off. MLK began this movement, what is happening today is the updated version. People must remain focused and understand that very powerful forces will try to derail this movement for justice and equality. They will redefine the movement when they can, to compare the movement not for equality and justice but for rebellion and anarchy. But things will change, equality will win out, the injustice will end even if it takes burning everything down and rebuilding from scratch. And like I said, stay forever focused.

I dont think there was a deliberate attempt to recreate the Nazi symbol, but now that its out there maybe they should consider changing it.
The GOP constantly accuses the "Left" of fascism so they should distance themselves from certain images to maintain their bullshit.

Ah, I see what you mean:

KKK slogan? Check. Lifting of Nazi symbology? Check.

I take it you did not read Grey_Beard's article.

"Jackson did not respond to a request for comment sent via Facebook on Wednesday, and soon after HuffPost sent the message, he deleted multiple racist posts and other evidence related to the Proud Boys from his Facebook page.

Another since-deleted post featured an advertisement for an April 25 Proud Boys rally against coronavirus lockdown measures.

Jackson appeared to have attended that April 25 rally, and posted a Facebook Live video from the event.

After HuffPost contacted Jackson this week, he replaced his Facebook profile photo — a graphic with the words 'ZERO WHITE GUILT'. "

The question is:

Does he do more or less damage to the country if he lives on twitter all day?
Well it’s not like he’s randomly pushing nuclear buttons in his free time. He’s just meeting with Hannity or Geraldo or Diamond and Silk. Maybe convince Melania she needs to keep him occupied during executive time instead.

I learned elsewhere that the art is a commercial image available thru shutterstock-

It's unknowable if the Trump campaign picked it because of the similarity to Nazi symbology or not.

Given the competence level of “The Gang That Can’t Shot Straight,” my bet is incompetence to shield intent. Maybe they did not know, but the attraction to an image like says everything.
