Black line across screen

Does anyone know what a random blavkish blueish line across my monitor means?
I turned my computer on from hibernate today and there it was. It seems to interact with the mouse a bit as it changes color when I run my cursor over it.

I have tried restarting and it didnt work. Definitely a computer problem as the monitor works fine on other computers.

I have been overclocking and I just turned it back but the line is still there. Anyone have any ideas?

Edit: It is also not a Windows problem as I can still see the line during POST and in BIOS.

The Monitor is only 6 month old Samsung 201B 20inch LCD.
RUnning an Athlon 64 setup. Anyone have ideas?

Have you put any magnets or set your speakers near the monitor recently?

Since when have LCD's been affected by magnets?

@ OP: can you test it on a different machine?

That certainly sounds like a failure in the LCD panel itself. However, it's possible that the video card is doing something weird as well. As BassBomb mentioned, connect the monitor to a different computer (or a different monitor to this computer) to see if the problem follows the monitor or if it stays with the computer.

Looks like he's already done that.

I would try removing the video card and reseating it.

bad connection on the desktop/lappy...not sure what you are pluging in to. Check the pins on the cable and make sure video card is screwed in tight.
