Black interior of a car gets hotter than gray/beige?

Pls help - considering buying a car today:

Does the black interior of a car get hotter than gray or beige? Whiter colors usually "reflect" heat, but does that apply UNDER THE GLASS, i.e. inside a vehicle, where the light already lost some of its spectrum?

Similarly, will a black piece of paper get hotter than a white one if you stick it on the inside of your home's window?

Thanks!

yes - a black leather interior in houston will melt your ass to the seat and you'll die screaming in pain trying to get back out.

a black ext/black int car is very very good looking, but do not get one in a hotter climate.

I've got a silver ext/ grey leather int and even that heats us on my sometimes (shiny metal seatbelt clasps get very hot, as does the metal column shift and turn signal stalk).

Yes, tint helps a LOT, but black interior (especially leather) will become quite warm in the summer sun.

IR goes basicalyl directly through glass. Glass absorbs minimal IR andthe black absorbs the rest. White is more likely to reflect some of the ir away again and possibly out through another window.
