So, I left at 5:40 with my grandma. We walked there, it's within walking distance. And at, 5:50, the line is ALREADY going around the back. Lucky for us, another entrance opened, we popped in, got 4 Kodak CX4300 Digital Cameras, and are already back home at 6:20.

Ain't it great?

Also, how is this digital camera? Is it good? I haven't opened it yet.

I was looking for reviews the other day but didnt come up with anything. But I decided not to bite because retail is around $179, and it doesnt have zoom.

In my experience, Kodak cameras are not very good. Usually, throwing a few more $$ into the purchase plan opens up a whole range of cameras that are much more capable than the Kodak cameras. You're taking pictures today that might be around 60, 70, 80 or even a 100 years from now. With storing them digitally, maybe even much longer. Why be cheap on a device that only takes so-so pictures? These are your memories that you're going to be creating. Just my .02 for you.

I just got back and I picked up the Xbox w/3 games for $199 (the price did not go down to 150 like I had hoped) and my mom is a pharmacist at WalMart so I got an additional 10% off so it came to about $190 total (including tax) so I'm happy. Does Babbages buy games? I am wondering if I can exchange these and get something different?

I just got home from working @ Wal-Mart... jesus christ that place is a madhouse. Honestly there was not 1 deal I would have waited in line for. Garbage brand 27" TVs, a decent $48 DVD player, and a crummy brand DVD/VCR combo. The $37 Christmas trees were OK, but nothing I'd wait an hour in line for.

In fricken sane.

Here is what I do not understand. The Walmart Superstore by me is ALWAYS packed, and yet the Target a couple miles away is relatively sane. Personally I would MUCH rather go to Target than Walmart anyday!

I don't have Wal-Mart Superstores by me, however, the regular Wal-Mart stores are pretty packed. Target does an "OK" business, but not as good as Wal-Mart does. I guess it's because the Wal-Mart low price campaign is pretty effective at capturing the attention of shoppers. However, like you, I'd prefer to shop at Target. Their stores are a little cleaner (in my opinion) and have a good selection of merchandise - and not thousands of shoppers in the store when I'm there. Plus, Target sells KrispyKreme donuts - so, they can't be all that bad. ;)

She could very well get a d day or fired for that. I had people trying to bribe me with money at work last night to sell stuff early. I told them that they were crazy and I'd get fired if I sold anything.

I got the same deal, last one at the local Walmart here :D I doubt Babbages would buy the games, they're NFRS :(

I just got back. Like the other person said earlier, this is the first time, and the last time, I'll ever go out for Black Friday. I just once wanted to experience what all the hype was about, and I'll never do it again. I went to Circuit City and you'd think they were giving things away for free in there. Apex tv's and dvd players, absolute garbage, but the lines were nuts for them. EVERY store had a full parking lot, no matter where you went, Walmart, Target, the actuall mall itself, Bernies, BB. It doesn't appear to me that people are too worried about all of the job cuts and cutbacks here in CT, based on the crowds of people at the stores today. Just goes to show the masses are the asses.

I went out to buy food and noticed that the bestbuy by me was not too bad, so I walked over to it. It was the most crowded I'd ever seen but not a total and utter madhouse. Anyway nothing was a good deal. Anything that was especially cheap was sold out well before (and I got in before 9:00). Still people bought stuff up anyway; for me it was just a waste of time. If you wanted to get a good deal you could go another day. Black friday sucks!

Walmart is full of trash, seriously. The Target Greatland across from our Walmart looks like a millionare's store, only with semi-ok stuff, and has barely any people. Walmart: Trashy and smelly , Target Greatland: Clean and nice stuff.

<<got 4 Kodak CX4300 Digital Cameras>> Ouch. What a lousy Digital Camera. I purchased a Kodak and took it back after 1 day of use. Absolute junk. I purchased an Olympus as a replacement and have never looked back.

The real problem is you guys are just looking for DEALS. The Friday after thanksgiving is not about trying to get the biggest hot deal, it's just the biggest shopping day of the year to most people. It doesn't matter to them that things are sold out because they are going to be buying christmas presents anyway. Stores OTHER Than BB are around! Did you guys try a Dillards? Any Department stores? The malls were slammed as were BB and CC. People are buying things in general.

You guys really need to get out of the house more
