So I have done Black Friday every year for the past 3 - but I forgot this year how it works.

Do we go at 12 and line up, or do the stores open at 12? Post your tips, tricks, and successes for snagging awesome deals.

Also - any SPECTACULAR deals you guys find this year? All the BF sites are so laden with adds that they arent worth going to.

you line up at 3-4 am for the stores that open at 5 am, stores that have "doorbusters" that are only good on limited quantity from 5 am to 10 am

once you hit 1-2 stores with doorbusters, then you hit the other stores that have the "normal" BF deals you want and you hope they haven't run out yet

it is best to hunt in packs so you can divide/conquer

It's too late to line up now, haha you lose!

Seriously, I've heard there's a 20 person line at the Best Buy down the street.

Yep, I have heard reports from around the USA that there are 20-30 people in line at some stores. Some areas will be lucky and you can get in line around 2AM but those are the exception.

AnthroAndStargate - There are several spectacular deals this year, what are you looking for?

I'd buy the $199 22" LCD monitor at Best Buy if I was there, but no deals I've seen are hot enough to bother fighting the crowds at a mall. I'll sleep in and pay $25 more somewhere down the road with an online deal. That will be money well spent.
