I'm so stoked that got in on this one before they were gone. Got a pretty good deal on a Cuisinart food processor and picked up a Falcon for free. Customer service rep said it will ship Monday or Tuesday.

Heck I missed out on black friday and it's not even friday yet. There were a bunch of games I wanted but they sold out online pretty much instantly. They probably have tens of thousands of copies but only set aside like a couple hundred under the "BF" price.

That's called an employee only discount. GameStop is the king of those. That's why it's never a bad idea to get a seasonal second job and get in good with the manager...or be the manager, otherwise you then have to duke it out with your co-workers, especially over promotional in store stuff. I've seen fist fights over some of the larger scale stuff, nothing like watching 2 nerd collectors duke it out over a plastic Halo sign with cardboard shelves.

I wanted something from Walmart's site this year, I refreshed the page constantly to hit that 12:01 second, bam got in, found the item and it was out of stock. Literally like 5 seconds in after the site even lets you order anything and it's out of stock...lol, damn employee discounts got me again.

To further mention, a lot of BF just has to do with what you are wanting anyway. Some people will go to BF in stores and literally buy 15 cases of kitty litter (seen it personally) just because it's about $3 cheaper that night....really? So you don't just fight the employee's with their pre black friday hide away's, but you also have to fight all the hoarders who buy 50 of the same items.

Wow that last one where a lady ripped a vegetable steamer from a kid's hands. Unreal.

But really, you need 3 of those things? :D

freaking dell.com sucks. The XBO doorbuster they had last night sold out within seconds. I literally was on their page before the sale started, hit refresh every second, as soon as the deal popped up and I clicked to buy it, it was sold out. Asshats.

After new years day is the best time. Stores are desperate to unload all the extra crap they purchased and couldnt move.

That used to be true years ago. Not anymore. Because of the popularity of gift cards for the holidays, January is no longer good month to buy.

Yeah no kidding I rather just pay full price than deal with that. Even if it was not for all the fighting... the crowds are bad enough to deal with. Imagine the line ups at the cash? Especially at Walmart, where they only have one open. I wonder how many people shop lift because they don't want to wait in line, and there's so much people you can't really catch all of them.

More hilarious videos. It's like opening barn gates for sheep to come out. LOL

Black Friday...
You can get a few worth while things.
Big items like electronics, not so much.
Menards had nice fluffy large sized dog beds for $7.
Usually a nice large dog bed is $30+ at least.
Some furniture covers for dollars.
Maybe a cheap USB flash drive off Amazon or somewhere.

Stopped by Walmart @ 8am. Parking lot was empty.
I don't know why Walmart even bothers.
Why they even pretend black Friday is different from any other day?

The trend is for a few, very few brick and mortar stores like Menards to draw a crowd.
Most others just waste their time.

Internet shopping can give up a few deals but most often small items where you might save a buck.
The problem is the websites become unresponsive and finishing a purchase can be impossible.
I was on MACMALL and that site was impossible to navigate.
Adding stuff to the cart, then it simply disappears during the check-out process.

AMazon was the only site I had no issues with, this year....
But all I got off them was a flash drive deal.

Hmm, I was in Wally's on Thursday evening (~5:50PM) in one of Atlanta's finest suburbs and it was orderly right through the time I checked out and walked out at 6:15PM. Everyone was calm and polite.

BTW, Chicago has no leg to stand on when it comes to violent crimes. It makes everyone else look like saints to its sins.
