Best Buy was having a black friday VIP contest here:
http://bestbuyvipcontest.com/
So you have to write an essay or poem up to 250 words. Best Buy then reads through the submissions and selects a winner. This spin of the famous poem "The Raven" by Poe:
Upon this midnight dreary, I will wait weak and weary,
Over numerous hours playing cell-phone games galore,
Oh, my mind is racing, with all the deals I am chasing,
My feet surely pacing, take me racing out my apartments door!
`Its almost time,' I mutter, embracing the woman I adore.
I wait for you! But, nothing more.
Ah, to be a member, a deal hunter of November,
With scissors I dismembered advertisements from the store.
My coffee finished with a swallow, through ads my fingers follow,
Gifts will quell the sorrow, of the friends and family I adore.
Gifts at perfect prices, one would be a fool to ignore,
A Black Friday at the store.
As the sun has not yet crested, my place in line is uncontested.
My heart is willing, though the air is chilling, and my feet are sore;
But, my friendly patient waiting has left room for no debating
And the feeling is elating; I am the first one at the door!
Kneeling and waiting; for I am the first one at the door,
The store and me, and nothing more.
Every moment the line grows longer, and mornings sun grows stronger.
The employee approaches and he broaches, at the line outside the door.
Thank you, said he for racing, but please, form an even-spacing,
Of the deals youre chasing, we have few inside the store,
The first in-line may take his time, he pushed me through the door,
The rest, said he will wait some-more.
So do you guys like it?
