17 of the darn things and my hand & scanner are beat!! Overall, got some good deals. I wonder though, why can't they just print you info on the dawn rebate forms if you use a credit card.....I know, they don't really want you to send them in....

Happy Saturday All!!

Because people will then bitch about how they have too much information or some other blah blah nonsense. You can't please everyone.

Question: You buy a present for someone and it includes a rebate. Do you cut the UPC off and hand them the gift still? I would feel pretty weird because if someone did that to me, I would make an issue out of it (joking, of course).

Yes. I often give UPC-less gifts to family members.

It's okay... they like beepy blinky spinny things as much as I do and don't care if it comes with a UPC code.

That's why some of us went to Office Depot instead and got the same drive for $79.99 (after rebates.) I waited all of about 2 minutes for the guy to get my DVD drive out of lockup. OD had about 8 people in the checkout line, but they opened another lane over in their ink section, and I quickly got to the 2nd position in line.

I should have slipped in OD to get one while I was waiting in line to get inside Best Buy!

The shopping center here has Best Buy/Office Depot/Duffin Dollar all in a row, and I got there at 5:45 and ended up right in front of Duffin Dollar. The best part of waiting in the line (which I did for about 45 minutes) was standing in the doorway of Office Depot, with the warm heat pouring out :D

I've got one more rebate to send off for the 200GB Maxtor @ CompUSSR, for a total of 8 rebates. Can't beat $112 AR/tax :D
