Too late...GoGamer shipped my order before they even responded to my cancel email. Seems you should cancel the day before you order with them.

Does anyone else think the 42" Plasma (EDTV) for 1000 is a good deal? I'm really temped to add it for a game/den room to put up on the wall. It won't be my theatre room so I won't mind it being ED

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp...=7123917&type=product&id=1110265592639

I went in to Best Buy and they had one on display and it looked ok, you could tell it wasn't HD, but I thought it looked nice enough. Is 1k a good price for a ED or will they be significantly cheaper soon ?

Yeah, i meant approximatly $450. I was too lazy to look back and see the exact price, but any projector in the $400's is about 1/2 of what I expected to pay for a 1800 lumen SVGA DLP projector. I've wanted one for video games and a home theater for forever, but couldn't justify forking out $800+ when I would have to pay $200-300 for a new lamp eventually.

It is the Toshiba TDP-S25U DLP Projector.
(In the ad i see TDP-S26U, but there is no such thing and the scan is too fuzzy anyway)

800x600 and no WS doesn't cut it for me, pass.

"The x700 pro is essentially a 9800pro for $100."

much thanks for the clarification!
@ original poster, what is the model number of the emachines? 4010? previous model @ compusa was 3990
we could then look it up at emachine upgraders and spec it out...
much thanks regardless

That AMD 3200+ Emachines, anybody catch the model # of it? That doesn't look like too bad of a deal, I'm just curious if I can overclock it and if it is AGP or PCI express.

Slap a 6800GS in it and some value memory and it is pretty sweet if the motherboard is a good one

That Saitek gaming kybd for $19.99 after I&MIR will be a good stocking stuffer :)

That SuperLANBoy case for $29.99 is a winner too.

True.. but the point is you're still getting an extra 128mb for 20 dollars less. I haven't seen 9800pro benchies in a while but doesn't the extra 128 help in heavily textured games like Doom 3? Performance wise, this card ranks somewhere between a 9800pro and 9800xt. In most benchies it equals the pro and in some it exceeds it. This is basically the best budget AGP card you're gonna find. Honestly I would NOT buy an x800 AGP. WAAYY too much money given that most of the systems that use AGP won't be able to fully utilize this card. My O'Ced 2.4ghz AXP system will suck the X700 pro up nicely until I feel like upgrading to a dual Opteron with full PCI-Express goodness.

According to Toshiba, that part number is showing up as a refurbished unit. They said all new laptops come with a 1 yr standard warranty, only the refurbs come with a 90 day. Hopefully that pdf is just a representation of the one best buy will sell and the one they actually carry will be new...
