What do you think about the 12" laptop? I need a cheap laptop for my wife and kids. This might be a good deal? How is Averatec?

Terrible support, especially when the warranty runs out. If you want a cheap laptop get the $400 HP.

For that HP laptop, I just went to Office Depot to look at the AMD version(I think) and the text is not that sharp for some reasons. Anybody has any comments?

If it's not running at the native resolution, it will often look blurry. That could have been why.

It was running at native. It is not blocky or anything...it is just fuzzy for some reasons. I checked all settings and it just doesn't look sharp.

Westinghouse 32" LCD HDTV $479.99

Thats a shame right there. I'd love to buy that but the closest BB thats near me is 80-100 miles away and then once I got there I don't know if I would even be able to get my hands on one. I hate black friday I really do. I don't have anything but a Wal-Mart, Kmart and Office Depot around me.

That Toshiba 56" DLP at Best Buy is really attractive at that price, too bad I'll be at work until 6:30 that morning. I'm really hoping for a nice 37" or 42" sale from someone this year.

that might not be all bad. Last year WM matched BB prices for me, even on doorbusters.

Best Buy gives tickets to people who camp out, right? So say you are first in line, or second, you get what you want or do you need to rush the store and throw elbows at old women to get the door buster stuff?

I wouldn't rule out a better deal on a LCD at Walmart. Even their every day prices on similar TV's are pretty good. But I full expect them to match that deal or likely do better. But of course, you have to fight through the 300 people who will be rushing the door for the 5 Tickle Me Elmo dolls they have.

wow this is the first year where nothing is really screaming buy me buy. I am mostly looking at larger size hard drive preferably less than 25 cents per gig. Best buys deal on the 250gb seagate seems like the best offer so far. Still waiting to see if we can find a 500gb external for less than $140. Anybody know when the microcenter ad might get leaked?

Question.....Lets say I go out and buy the 42 in westinghouse LCD HDtv today for 1499 at best buy. Will they refund me the price difference(1499-999=$500) because of the black friday price drop? This way i wouldn't have to tramp over a zillion people that day.

from what i've heard it varies from store to store. Some places will say yes and if it's a door buster usually the will definately say no. They do this to keep from people buying up all the stock before hand and coming in that day for teh price change.

Yes, they give tickets for doorbuster items at BB. they also do not allow anything in customer service on BF (ie price matching, returns, etc)

What I'm most concerned about is the 42" Westinghouse for 999.99 at Best Buy. The only 42" Westinghouse makes is a 1080p monitor.
