Just a few news articles I saw that excited me.

Black was a great game, even from the demo, and the destruction in itself was awesome. I had been waiting for a next gen sequel for a while, and maybe this is it.

90 minutes is probably what I would have played the game for anyways (unless I really liked it), so I like the idea of this demo. This is how you sell games (or not I suppose), by getting people to really get a feel of the game.

Screens and a release date..had my eye on this one for a while. Can't wait for it to release.
In a press release promoting the expansion of its Guildford studio, Codemasters revealed that the team there is working on a new original shooter. The project is led by creative director Stuart Black who was designer and co-creator of Black when he worked at the also Guildford-based Criterion Games. After Black released in 2006, rumors of a sequel never came to fruition. Though no specifics of what happened to that team were ever given, the 2007 establishment of Codemaster's Guildford studio came at a potentially opportune time.
At the very least it presented an attractive enough opportunity for EA Criterion development director Adrian Bolton who moved over to manage the new Codemasters studio at its founding. Joining the Criterion vets on this new project are executive producer Tom Gillo, previously of Sony Computer Entertainment's London Studio, and senior producer Andrew Wilson who was in the same role on Split/Second at Blackrock.
The already 80-person team has been in full production on the new game for 12 months after selecting it from a number of prototypes. They are building on Codemasters' multi-platform EGO engine which powered DiRT, GRID, and most recently Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising. No other information about the new game was given but it seems likely we can expect a debut at E3 this summer if not before.

An "extensive demo" spanning the entirety of Darskider's first dungeon will be downloadable on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 come February 25, THQ has revealed.
"Rather than just making a standard 20-minute demo version of the first few levels, we decided to give away this massive level and reveal the true essence of the game," explained David Adams, general manager of THQ-owned developer Vigil Games, with the company noting "the demo will take approximately 90 minutes to complete."
Released in early January on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, the apocalyptic action-RPG sold well enough to be among the month's twenty top-selling retail games in the US. A sequel has long been planned and is expected between March 2011 and April 2012.

Fedoras. Pinstripes. Plaid. A California license plate from 1947. Travel Service. All hallmarks of a bygone era, and all in this new batch of screenshots from L.A. Noire.
Mostly unseen outside of a four-year-old cinematic teaser, Team Bondi's old-timey detective thriller is coming to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The shots arrived via Game Informer, which has now confirmed that the game is due September 2010.
