Seriously, go get this game... everything about it is great. (camera is hard to control at first, but gets better) i love this game.... i couldnt stop playing last night.... lost much sleep, need much coffee...

just the little things you can do... like for the heck of it... pick up a viliger and throw his ass across the island, into the water... drop a rock on a peasant... feed people to your creature... awww.. the possibilities...

it is a fun game. I enjoyed his Dungeon Keeper game more though for some reason. Part of it is the interface.

I'm wholly addicted to the game. I'm sitting here at work daydreaming about my Creature and what I'm going to teach him next when i get home. This game is going to take over any free time I have. I bought it last night, played it for about 7 hours so far and I barely know what I'm doing yet. It took at least 5 hours to get totally used to the odd navigation but once you do, you realize that it is perfect.

I can see why it took 3 years to develop this game. it sets new standards for AI from which all future games will be judged, and to top it off it has some of the best graphics I've ever seen in my life. The attention to detail is mind boggling...

I had the game in my hands about 30mins after my local EB received it. I got there and they were still unpacking them :) I left work early to get it!!

Do yourself a favor and buy the best game of 2001. Well, I haven't been so impressed by a game since I loaded up Doom on a 386.

Oh, I haven't even tried multi player yet. I'm going to wait for a while before I try that.

I have the same feelings about the game. I chose the tiger, and its been a pain trying to teach him what to do. So far all he does is eat people and throw his own crap at cows. I'm still working on it :)

Sounds like those games my cousin used to play, yamagachi pets or something? They were lcd games that came as keychains. Anywho, I think I am going to wait a bit for the price to come down, only because this type of game never really floated me boat. But you guys are tempting me dammit!

Deicide: just smack him around a bit when he does something wrong... or if you feel playful, pet him on his netherregions...(its funny) haha

Kami: i want to leave work right now and just go play... i love the villagers, even though they arent super detailed, they have a very nice quality to them... plus is funny when you make the women breeders, i wish real women would do that... (for those of you that dont know, when you tell them they are breeders, they go up to the closest man and start making out with them)

i wonder if you get more creatures as the game goes on... i'd like to try the cow god. mooo. :)

Intake: Yeah, actually I was trying to turn him evil, so I did a lot of the crotch petting because I thought I was molesting him. Turned out he liked it, who knew..

Intake: The majority of my villagers are disciple breeders :) Everyone's doin the nasty :) Every once in a while it's fun to toss a villager into the ocean or something. Hmm, I'll have to teach my creature to throw his sh!t on people too :) hahahahahah.

Oh, and the creature fighting is amazing!!

and the first time i slapped around my creature i was ROTFLMAO!

My co-worker picked up his copy yesterday, I watched him play it at lunch. It looks very nice, I am going to get myself a copy when the store gets more of them in.

You can only have one creature at any time, but there are opportunities to switch between the different animals that get unlocked later in the game. I read this in the manual somewhere or in a FAQ... This game is a blast. Haven't tried the Multiplayer yet. Anyone try the weather sync feature yet? Sounds interesting.

It was raining outside and when i put my city and zip in the registration, within 10 minutes into the game, it started raining in the game. Which animal did you guys chose? I got the monkey

dabuddah,
where did you do the setting for the weather? (and is it only for online play, single player, or both?)

The FedEx man just showed up with my copy! And I have a research paper to work on today. Man, that is going to be hard to do.

Sigh, can anyone tell me if B&W will run acceptably on a Celery 300a w/ TNT2 16 meg card and 64 MB RAM? I absolutely cannot afford to upgrade right now and don't want to plunk down $75 canadian if it'll run like crud.

Optimus, from IGN:

Minimum Requirements
Win 95/98/2000/ME
PII350MHz
64MB RAM
8MB 3D accelerator
600 MB hard drive space
4x CD-ROM

:(... don't know if your Celeron would handle it very well.
