I am in a bit of a pickle, My new motherboard has a black D-sub 15 pin VGA port, and the cable attached to the monitor, the male end is blue 15 pin D sub, and they don't fit, I don't get it!!! next year I am getting an HDMI monitor but in the mean time this is all I have :(

Thanks

I shouldnt be an issue unless a pin is bent as was said previously. If you want, post pics of both looking at the sockets dead on.

What is motherboard model? Could be trying to put a VGA cable into a serial port or something?

Link to motherboard? There's two 15 pin DSub connectors, the 3x5 pin VGA one and a 7/8 pin dual row one. The second are extremely rare these days though, AFAIK they were ever only used on computers for game ports; it's been a long time since I've seen one of them.
