BK Bacon Double Homestyle Melt

2 patties, 3 slices of swiss cheese, bacon on grilled Sourdough. the "grilled sourdough" is mostly a joke, the same as all fast food places that offer it. Doesn't really have a grilled texture at all, breads not bad tasting though, doesn't have that stale taste a lot of spots grilled Sourdough does. It's supposed to have a "homestyle sauce" on it. I asked the chick at the counter what exactly the sauce was, she said she didn't know and would go ask. She asked in the back, and came with with the response "it's only available in the morning" I went to BK.COM and it says it's a "rich, creamy garlic cheese sauce" I think my burger had it, something tasted garlicky and freaking delicious.

Meat is juicy, much better than MCDonald's, I even found it tastier than the Angus 1/3rd pounder (one thing I like at MCD's) bacon was absolutely delicious, swiss cheese was a nice change of pace, and it had 3 slices. I could see myself eating these a few times a week it was that good. They have a breakfast sandwich with the same bread + sausage + 2 slices of American cheese & a honey butter sauce. Sounds really delicious, anyone tried it??

I never liked any of "upscale" version of burgers at fastfood joints... more of a x3 burgers from the dollar menu type of a guy here.

Your report does sound interesting though, I will give it a shot next time I am at BK. Thx!

haha upscale, interesting view. The sauce they put on this makes it very addicting, I feel you on the dollar menu, I love it too. But man this burger is like a whopping $2.50, live it up and try one man. Besides BK's dollar burger menu is SHET. Every other fast food place has a decent sized dollar double burger, but not BK.

Damn, sounds good but I just can't walk into a BK anymore without immediately feeling guilty and/or cheap.

In fact, Red Robin and Five Guys are the only burger joints I frequent these days.

NOOO don't say that! Hopefully it will catch on and they'll make it a menu item, they can get rid of the Stacker if they need space, Stackers are good but really just a burger without all the veggies.

daamit limited time means I better eat them while I can because I know they'll end up replacing them with something I can't stand.
