My drives aren't working properly in my new system, I have both a TDK 40X burner and a LITEON DVD drive. When I'm installing my Windows XP, the setup cannot read this one file on the cd. I swapped XP cd's 4 times and each time setup cannot read some other random file. It is different each time. I've checked my settings, UDMA, slave/master, etc and everything is hooked up ok. I have an Asus P4s533 mobo, do you guys think its the memory I have (OCZ 3500)? I run the memory at 333 mhz speeds so it should be ok?

I'm presuming that having swapped CDs four times, you aren't using a legal CD. Default explanation is it's because you're pirating software. :) Download another image from someplace else.

hey smartass, I borrowed 3 different cd's. I know people who actually bought windows XP besides me, surprisingly. Anyways I fixed the problem, it seems that one of my drives was on cable select and the other was slave, so i set it up manually and it all works good now.
