Bizarre number calling you at work?

The other day I had a bunch of calls from a single number, probably spaced an hour or two between one another. I believe it was an 866-833 number or something like that. I googled it, and it seems like other people are experiencing the same thing. The general concensus is that it's a broken automated telemarketer, because the other end is always silent when one picks up the phone.

Yesterday it happened again; fortunately I have caller ID, so whenever the number popped up, I simply hit the mute.

Just curious if anyone else had/has this happening to them?

I used to get a call from this one number over and over at work. Meaning up to 10 times in a row at about 1 minute intervals or so. I would answer and all I would hear were beeps. "Beep" .... "Beep" If I didn't answer the beep would actually be left on my voicemail.

Very odd.

I had my number blocked from telemarketers.

If its a number I dont know...I send them stright to voicemail...almost 100% of the time they hang up.

Perhaps you have heard of these before, they're called "fax machines" ....
