Bizarre Hexagon on Saturn's North Pole

So the aliens from "Chicken Little" were correct. It's all in the hexagons.

Although there is a REASON why the hexigon is used so much in nature. Points for anybody that knows.
 
Hexagons accommodate for ring strain quite nicely, actually in a chair formation there is hardly any strain.

It's a joke that astronomers play on the public. Next they'll spend $5 billion getting a closeup and find that it's only an octagon or something.
