I don't think watercooling a 7950X2 is going to be worth it, just go with an XTX and overvolt it. Maybe get an XT and crossfire it if your budget can stretch.

I've never heard of that brand of PSU, if you want to replace it then for a non crossfire setup a good 500W will be enough, for a crossfire settup you do want a 600W PSU. Think Seasonic, OCZ, PCP&C, Fortron, Silverstone, Antec (Neo HE line only imo), Enermax etc.

I don't think the difference between 5.1 and 7.1 is worth it, if you wanted sound quality then a sound card is a must, if you wanted the effects from a sound card then it's a yes again. Personally i'd just leave the soundcard for a month till the bank balance has recovered a bit and think about it again then. The creative XFI are one of the best cards around, but creative can't do drivers to save thier lives.

i'd say the conroe e6600 is the best option.Pair that up with an ASUS P5WD_H.
As for video card,u'd be better off getting the x1900 xtx and putting a water block on it.There should be some out there which covers the ram chips as well.So overvolting+overclocking is safe.
As for PSU's i'd suggest uget a PSU from enermax or silverstone.
As for 7.1 or 5.1 channel surround sound,u'd need a good sound card like the creative xiFi platinum or xiFi fata1ty.
Thats gonna be one sweet rig.

Have you had an experience with the neohe series? I've heard mixed reviews about them. Also to add another one to your list... enhance. They have a good 500w in the 5150gh and a crossfire 600w in the 0560g. As for MoBos, DFI is decidedly AMD except for a few. Asus will probably come out with a solid c2d board and foxconn recently came out with a new am2 board that's supposed to be the best am2 overclocking board to date. You can find this on the AT homepage under their recent reviews.

If you want to run at 2048x1536 with all things maxed, you need SLI or crossfire. Even at that resolution you are going to need some AA and some AF, and if you have only 1 card its going to suffer.

I would suggest two voltmodded 7900GTs in SLI. You can purchase an SLI water block to cool both of your GPUs. The block is a bit expensive, but the ability to reach 700+ on the core and 900+ on the memory will be worth all the money the waterblock costs.

Now that should be able to do 2048x1536 with 4xAA and 16xAF like butter. Good luck.

oh and for mobo, well it all depends on your CPU. Either way go with ASUS. M2N32-SLI if you go with AM2, or the future nVidia Intel edition nforce 590 board.
