Is there any command line bittorrent program to use in linux? I wanted to see how fast I could get my server download speed to. :D It's a Red Hat 9 box.

Ah, on their site they had a red hat package search link, but all it came up with was some mandrake file. Are you talking about the python link? I've never used python...

Bittorrent is written in python. When you install it, it has both a gui and CLI version - 'btdownloadgui.py' and 'btdownloadheadless.py'.

Hmm... figured out how to start it ;) But it won't connect to anything. :( I did have a firewall on, but temporarily disabled it.

Ah sweet, found a file that works (Quake 1 beaten in 12 minutes)... will wait and see how the speeds go. :) It's kind of weird though, the CLI just keeps refreshing the screen every second so it gives the illusion of updating. I like the windows version better. ;)
