BitTorrent Gives Hollywood a Headache

Scary to think that MPAA might try and go after him. He can't control what users do with torrent. Doesn't matter if 99.9999% of all torrents are juarez, they shouldn't be able to try and stop him from developing it/sue him.

Agreed. It's a sign of desperation. They've found out it's near impossible to stop the sharing, so they're going to try and put everyone who makes anything that resembles a P2P app out of business.

Dumbasses don't understand that P2P is here to stay. Kill bittorrent (if at all possible), some other stuff will popup which might be even more decentralized - more w00t for p2p-ers

The entertainment industry as a whole is having a hard time coming to grips with the reality that their producrts are overpriced.

that's a crock of sh!t, empty threats, there's no way they can go after him.

I wouldn't say they can't go after him. They shouldn't be able to. But that doesn't mean they can't with the way the courts work.

uhh...

if they had anything they could take the guy to court for, they would've done it a long time ago. they don't have anything and they know it, why would they waste money on a lawsuit and bad publicity?

Overpriced??? You've got to be joking. They spend 100 MILLION dollars trying to entertain you and ask for $15 - $20 for you to enjoy it for life, or $8 in the theatre for one viewing. If you think that is overpriced, you'd better quit McDonalds and go get a real job.

Edit: Or you can rent it for around $3.

Oh, you mean like Suprnova-child Exeem, where not only is the data decentralized, but so are the torrents themselves? 😉

yum yum yum 😀

Wow, they used Star Trek: Klingon Academy as an example of something up on SuprNova.:Q The implicit humor in fretting about such an old and mediocre game is immense.😀

More like they spend 100 million dollars trying to make even more of a profit on us.

How could they even go after Bram Cohen when 90% of people aren't even using his software? Everyone's using Azureus and ABC.
