This should be a no-brainier and not needed to even be asked. But today I went searching for a new bitrate calculator and there were like 100 different ones, I tried about 10 and didn't like them.
I get on a kick every year or so to re-encode my movies, I'm not sure why I do it. But I've decided on MKV using h.264 for the codec. Before looking for a bitrate calculator I just assumed they were pretty much all the same. But the ones I tried were different. I ripped a few movies to MKV using Handbrake and the default bitrate seems awfully high. I'm not hurting for space but if it's gonna result in a larger file with no noticeable quality improvement I'd like to save some space.
something that has an audio section & h.264 support
