Bitlocker TPM in 680i?

I want to run bitlocker in TPM mode with two factor authentication.

Are there any 680i motherboards with TMP module and bios support?

All I see so far is Asus on 965???

i saw an asus board with pins on the mobo (chip was optional). however, i think some of the crypto features in vista won't work without this chip. man 🙁

I wouldn't go too far with the XP encyption features because if you lose the key or your data gets corrupted in any way, I'd say your data is for certain "toast". Data recovery is bad enough with NTFS, adding encryption on a hardware level like this is just asking for trouble. ****** what do you do if your board gets fried?

Read the MS whitepaper for recovery options.

Anyknow know about the performance impact? benchmarks?

This is better than a straight raid encryption add on card due to the tpm boot time control measures.

So Asus have some, but the tpm module is sold seperately? Where?

Any news? I see the Asus 965 mobo's have the tpm as an optional extra....do you buy this from asus or somewhere else? Anyone seen benchmark comparisons showing the hit bitlocker adds?
