Gday -
When I plug in my usb external drive (encrypted with bitlocker) I get a dialogue window that says "you need to format the disk to use it" whereas the bitlocker window used to appear for me to enter my password and decrypt the drive.
I normally click the "safely remove hardware" icon to close the drive before I unplug it, but this morning I was working on a software config and forgot and restarted the system a couple times while the drive was still decrypted. I guess that's what caused the error.
Is there a tool or something I can use to try and recover the drive?
These drives/encryptions etc sure do seem delicate, for being something that contains things so personal/important to people.
Anyway thanks
