BitlBee, coolest piece of software I have found in a while

BitlBee

It runs a local irc server, which acts as a bridge between your irc client, and all of the various chat networks. You install it, connect to localhost, join #bitlbee, and it goes over everything with you, totally simple to set up and no more need for gaim! Woohoo!
 
Awesome, I'll have to try it out.

They comment on NetBSD not being very well tested, and, uh, seeing as you run it, how's it fairing?
 
I run it on my main machine which is debian, but if it works on Free and Open, I would be highly surprised if it had any problems on NetBSD.
