BitFenix Spectre fan LED - switch?

Basically I want to be able to turn my fan LEDs on/off independently of speed. Best fans I've found for this purpose are the BitFenix Spectre's, which have a jumper (pictured below) that completes the fan's LED circuit an keeps the light on. It's designed to connect to BitFenix's LED controller, but for those who don't have it, it's just a loop - connected for always on, disconnected for always off:

Is there any reason why I shouldn't be able to wire a simple switch (like these) into that jumper loop to switch the LEDs on and off? Seems trivial, but maybe I'm overlooking something.

Here's an embarrassingly crude sketch of what I hope can be done... it's worth noting that the LED is powered through the same source as the fan - the jumper simply completes the LED circuit (I think...).
