Bitfenix Prodigy or similar alternatives?

Been looking at this case for a while now, would like to combine a maximus impact and an i7 chip inside this case with a h100i. However I would still like the DVD drive at the top of the case. Linus mentioned that you could possibly mount the h100i outside the case on the 240mm fan mesh grill instead of inside, allowing the DVD drive to still be present. However I can't find out if he actually managed to do it. Anyone know if its possible? Or any other cases to suggest🙂 thanks

Had a look at the revised prodigy, the prodigy m, however sli graphics cards are still going to prohibit the DVD drive

ur not going to find a itx case which can support a 120x2 class radiator no matter how hard you try.

Well, the bitfenix phenom may do it if you raise the rad a bit, but it may still be a little short.

Also care to tell me how you intend to SLI on a ITX system which only has 1 PCI-E?
The case you listed is a ITX, the board you listed is an ITX.

ITX system can not SLI, unless ur talking about a dual GPU single card.
Then back to one, you are not going to find a ITX case which can support a card that long, or a radiator that large.

My Titan Z fits into the Prodigy line of cases ...

Top 2x 120mm fan mount

however it seems the lower end of it would conflict with the 5.25 bay as noted by the OP.

I would assume the lower holding bay for the 5.25 would prevent you from mounting a fan and it being open to pull air.

Do you have enough clearance for the fan to be mounted and not have a backwash problem?

Can't check - my assumption was you're talking about the length. I watercool and I know it fit into my mATX Phenom (how I know the length is fine.)

The prodigy m allows m-atx boards, letting me utilise sli cards
