And here everyone thought he would come to the house of New England and do something..well...they were wrong...

The thing about Philly, they were glad to have him back...they thought he would take them all the way..but think again...the Patriots coach said it best....

"To me this trophy belongs to these players," Belichick said. "They met all comers this year, a very challenging year. We're thrilled to win. These players played great all year, their best in the big games and they deserve it, they really deserve it."

They are a team, not some hotshot like Owens or Moss, who cant seal the deal and get a ring!

T.O. got 122 yards on an ankle with metal screws that were put in a month and a half ago. I'd say that he did much better than everyone (except maybe himself) expected.

Bah! I dont care if he got two hundred yards, he didnt win the game by himself did he? Yet everyone seems intent to act like he is the reason the Eagles got to the big game...he's a blow hard show off..him and Moss....

Every team has playmakers. Even the Pats.

Without T.O, the Iggles would have been beat by a wider margin.

Now i dont believe that for a minute.....and I cant believe that anyone does.

The pats have play makers, you are correct.

Vrabel, Bruschi, Harrrison, Vinateri, Brady, Dillon...they ALL make plays, not let it ride on one player...

TO kept the Eagles in the game longer than they should have (as did a couple other Eagles recievers with big circus catches in clutch situations earlier on).

OMG DID YOU WATCH THE FVCKING GAME....

I don't care for the man's attitude or antics, but what he did tonight was AMAZING. T.O. didn't throw 3 interceptions.

If the Eagles win TO is the MVP, I don't understand how people can talk sh*t about him

I think that your blind hatred for TO is making you disregard the fact that, as said before, hes got a broken fibula with screws in his ankle, while still catching for 120 yards and being the Eagles leading receiver, not to mention making big plays to put the Eagles in great field position and keeping drives alive.

If you don't respect TO for what he did last night, you shouldn't watch football. Like him or not, it was a gutsy performance, and he did everything he could on a BROKEN LEG to put his team in a position to win. Horrible clock management and poor throws by McNabb cost Philly the game, not Owens.

Some NE fans amaze me... they want all the credit in the world for winning, and want to slam the other teams for being 'pretenders'. Which is it guys, are you so dominant or did TO and the Eagles just roll over and let you walk to a win?

Owens showed he wants to WIN last night. He's got my total respect as a player. This coming from someone who hates the Eagles.

what it comes down too is football is all about the qb. No matter how good a reciever is he cant get the ball every offensive play. If TO wants the glory he should have taken a different position.

Not true. Football is about a TEAM. If the QB is great and the WR's suck, he can't get the ball to them either. If the WR's are great, the QB is great but the line sucks, he wont be able to get them the ball. Football is a true team game, it doesn't come down to any one position.

And above all he didn't cry when they lost, he totally has my respect and he showed he wanted to win.

phew, i was starting to worry about the posters here. thanks for being fair and objective. The Eagles lost, we (eagles fans) will have to live with that. We know that the eagles losing brings joy to some (Pats fans of course) to others (the haters) the satisfaction of saying "we told you so, the eagles suck". Well, good for you I hope you're having a great time and if this is what gets you off, so be it but for goodness sakes stop wit the "TO sucks, he shoould DIAF" crap.

Yes, his celebrations in the endzone this year were over the top, yes he's confident but he showed last night that he has the skills to back up all of his swagger. I could take this crap (hating) if we were talking about that soon to be ex Eagle Freddie Mitchell. If people were posting this about him i'd be right with you, he's all talk and no action. I don't mind people feeling good about the loss, that's fine. I'd be ecstatic if the Pats lost, so what's good for the goose... but any REAl football fan, a fan of the game cannot look at TOs performance and say it wasn't gutsy, that it wasn't good. To put him down now is just hating.

Don't get me wrong. I hope I never live to see the day that Randy Moss gets a ring. I think he's a negative, bad person. He's arrogant and nasty. TO overall is not that way, his cockiness is on the field, where it should be. I can live without the endzone stuff too but I think he does it to entertain, not to demean.

Maybe I'm being a TO apologist but he deserves some respect. He's one of the few Eagles I'm proud of today.

You should be proud of the Eagles period. There's no shame losing to the Patriots. The the Eagles played them better than either the Colts of the Steelers who both were excellent teams.

As for McNabb, you can knock him if you want but neither Manning or Big Ben were able to do any better against the Pats and they both had great years (Manning argubly the best year of any QB in history as far as the stats go)

But the thing is the defense could be great the wide recievers great but if the qb has a bad game the game could still be lost even if the rest of the team plays steller, it also works the other way around. A phenominal qb preformance can single-handidly win games(mike vick) even with mediocre teams around them. Obviously winning a superbowl takes tremendous team effort, but everything comes down to the qb in the end, not the wr, no matter how talented.
