Just an FYI: remember to cancel the automatic renewal! It will automatically renew next year unless you turn it off.
 
Watch out for the auto renew bit defender is like a cable company. I'd bet by the time it expires the renew rate will be $79. They'll ultimately mark it down to $10 though.
For the 3 years I used bit defender only one problem that I think the gf caused. It did slow the PC's down though.
 
It's showing up as $49.95, I think the link had something about a coupon in it.

Is there a coupon code? I tried 2013-NYS, but it did not work. What am I missing?
 
BD is prob the best AV around, removes the malware others dont. The full vers is actually too good, so next year I will just get the AV (with FW)
Currently using Total Security 2013 which went for $19.95 in Dec.
If you dont re - up immediately you'll then get email offers
Had a bit of problem with 2012 last year and got some very good help via phone, which I didnt expect.
Even received a couple of follow up emails to ask if everything was O.K.
I guess all these "optional" sw companies are really hurting now, with the bad economy as it is.
 
i really don't use AV software most of the time... but the only one that i've liked at all has been bitdefender. fairly lightweight, catches EVERYTHING, and doesn't pester you every time you click something.



it's pretty much the only thing i ever suggest

Yes the deal expired. It was a "new year sale" (that's what the discount was stating).

As far as the auto-renewal, there are 2 ways to cancel
1. you contact them via e-mail with your order number
2. you create an account with Avangate (look for sign-up link in your bitdefender confirmation e-mail); and you can disable the auto-renewal from there.

btw I used both ways to cancel auto-renewal.
 
Did anyone have an extra code for this? I'm playing with the trail now, and it seems far better than kaspersky and comodo. Those other 2 caused various problems. So far one works perfectly.
