I would suprised if it could run the original Doom at an acceptable framerate. Keep in mind this is meant to be an extremely low power solution with some 3D support. Also, the AcceleonG10 is only the entry level core

Last year? The Acceleon line of cores have been available for license only a couple of quarters this year. This will be the first commercial product from BitBoys - well NEC licensed the IP for this chip, so it's not directly from BitBoys. NEC is responsible for integrating the IP into their own chips and manufacturing them, but it's still a milestone for BitBoys.

Maybe it was an announcement for these chips that I read last year. Either way they still haven't delivered sh!t for gamers with the exception of alot of talk and paper, which we all get at work daily anyway so Bitboys continues to be yet another laugh in a continued line of "same ol" days.......

Bologne, they haven't mentioned the desktop gaming market in some years, especially since they've started focusing on handheld graphics chips.

If the Axe line of GPUs is still in development, I would be greatly surprised.

BitBoys officially quit on the consumer performance market over a year ago when they moved into mobile solutions for PDA and mobile phones. Might want to stop waiting for that gaming card.

Bitboys Oy is a real company? I thought they were just gaming legends told to scare kids (like Jeff K).

Actually they stated that their mobile GPU development was to provide R&D money for their gaming/desktop endevours.

They didn't rule out returning to that market at some point in the future, but at this point, they are no longer developing addin gaming cards.
