Interesting read, and some surprising results. It answers most people's question regarding how many memory do they need, and in what configuration e.g 2x2GB? or 4x1GB and so forth

nice find, that's interesting read. I'm thinking of getting 8GB, because from the looks of things, applications and games within a year will start to use 8GB. They wont' require it, but I'm sure 64bit computing is going to take over very soon.

That's pretty impressive the Crysis gains. Weren't too many other gains to be seen over 4gb, at least yet.

Glad I got 2x2gb of ram, I may go to 8gb soon.

Nice find. Good overall review.

There are a few things that annoy me though.

They don't mention anything about timings other than primaries, which means they used auto for everything.
That means subtimings will be affected, which makes the comparison somewhat inaccurate, & explains why the 8 GB is sometimes "slower" than the 4 GB...very likely different subtimings are being applied.

And this part confirms my suspicions they were n00bs:
If we even waved a hand near our Asus P5Q Deluxe when it had four DIMMs sitting in it, it was enough to make it blue-screen or jitter.
Retardedness.
They are lucky they got a board like the P5Q that is actually easy to run 8 GB in...
