Bit of embarrassing question about Lucid Virtu

Hello,

I just ordered some components to build a new pc and I was reading a bit about this Lucid Virtu. The MB I bought does have it. I also ordered a 7970 and happen to have a 7770 laying around. I know that I cant CF a 7970 and a 7770, but what would happen if I plugged in both the 7970 and the 7770.

I read that the lucid stuff can actually increase FPS by leveraging intel hd with discrete cards, so I thought that it might be able to get some benefit from 2 discrete cards even if one is significantly weaker.

I appreciate your help. Thanks in advance.

Pretty sure you can't cross fire a 7970 and 7770. It has to be the same tier chip:
79xx with each other.
78xx with each other.
77xx with each other.

And then you got them odd balls like the 7790 that only CFX with itself (does that chip even do CFX?)

About the Lucid Virtu, I never tinkered with it so I can't chime in there.

Thanks. This is what I was looking for:

"Virtu doesn't work (ever) with MGPU"

I noted in my first post that I can't CF those cards.

Thank you.

Btw Balla, that is the same MB that I ordered. Do you like it?
