I'm thinking of getting this for my inlaws. They have 3 cats that they keep inside and on occasion, they throw up on the carpet. They try to clean it, but the spots are still totally visible to me.


Is the product any good?

We have the pet one, it seems to work well, however if your carpet overall is dirty/ in a high traffic area, the clean circle will stand out from the rest (we live in an apartment and are too cheap to get the carpet cleaned). Plus the machine takes a lot of solution, which is not cheap.
 
Very good reviews on Amazon.com. Make sure you read the reviews so you know the proper steps to use and maintain the steamer.
 
My mom wanted one for Christmas two years ago. She loves it... especially now that she has a new puppy.

Yes, the solution isn't that cheap, yes the spot on the carpet will be noticeably cleaner than the rest, but it works quite well. She steam cleans the carpets every few months though, so a brighter spot doesn't last for long.

Essentially, it's great for preventing very permanent stains.
 
Yep, I have had one for a couple of years now, and it is great for spot cleaning accidents on carpet to prevent them from setting in.
