Why not both?

P.S. If you don’t like sweet cornbread, I can’t take anything you say seriously. Seriously.

Biscuits
Buttermilk Cornbread
Water Cornbread

In that order.

** If the cornbread is sweet it isn't cornbread it is Corn Cake.

Fuck bisquits. I've grown to hate them over the years. They always look good, but only taste good 10% of the time. I like cornbread made in my cast iron cornstick pans, but I haven't made them in awhile.

Cornbread is more of a dessert or snack while biscuits are great for breakfast.

Never heard of hot water cornbread.

You just need to find a place that makes good ones. Its like little pieces of warm, buttery heaven in your mouth that no cornbread could ever match

Cornbread is more of a dessert

I am not choosing. I love both. I will not partake in your attempt to divide the nation Trump Jr. :p

I love biscuits. I'm much more tolerant of sub-par biscuits than I am of sub-par cornbread. When cornbread isn't made well it's really gritty and dry... when biscuits aren't made well they still go well with so many things.

I'd love to have some good southern cornbread some day though... and biscuits for that matter. I just saw some biscuit place from SC featured on the cooking channel and it looked so good.

My taste for food makes me want to venture south, but my strong desire to avoid hot weather keeps me up north. I'll never truly be happy =(

Coarse, salted cornbread (with butter) beats just about everything else.
Couldnt tell the difference between water or butterrmilk, i thought buttermilk just had to be in cornbread, always.

Ever stop and listen to someone ... then think to yourself, "Their cornbread ain't done in the middle."?

Me neither. :D

I typically shy from corn products as they taste inferior - corn chips, corn flake cereal, corn tortillas.
And biscuits are made without yeast ... so ... :grimacing::disappointed:.
Neither are good options.
But I remain open minded as Red Lobster and Bisquick showed us it's possible to engineer a good biscuit. So it's conceivable that someone can make a delicious cornbread.
I do enjoy biscuits and gravy, but then, the biscuit is smothered.
