My b/f's birthday is coming up this Sunday, and I'm not quite sure what to get for him.

He is: going to be 19, a UCLA freshman, theater major.

He likes: skiing, acting, comfy clothes (no brand names), movies (Will Ferrell, Robin Williams), etc. (nothing too extravagant).

I can't afford to fork over $350 for the headshots he needs, and am thinking of getting him something in the $30-50 range (Christmas is coming up too, and I have to get him another gift then).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thank you. 🙂

I jest. Get him some Old Navy clothes and a couple sweatshirts. Maybe a DVD or two. I guess it depends on how much you like him or want him to like you. 🙂

Koss KSC-35 are AWESOME portable headphones for under $30. Very highly recommended, both by myself and the headphone communities. (head-fi.org if you want other opinions, people here can vouch for them as well)

What about getting him a nice leather wallet? You can get a really nice one for under $40... and he'll probably like it. This way you don't have to worry about sizes and fit. My gf got this for me last year and i really liked it.

I think I'm going to go ahead and get him some comfy clothes from Old Navy/GAP, a DVD or two, some Koss KSC-35's (thanks murphy55d!), an alcohol giftset, and a nice leather wallet/money clip.

I'll also toss in some "coupons", geekbabe... 😉 I'll put expiration dates on them so he'll have to use them fast... 😛
