I'm proud to say, that I'm shopping early enough to buy online! Deadline is the 15th. So far I'm kicking around a Recepter Radio and/or 300GB HDD.

He plays CS and WOW almost exclusively. Xbox gathers dust, as does Gamecube. He's got a mobile phone and TV w/ DVD player in his room. His current video card is a GIGABYTE GV-NX66128D 6600 RT PCI-E. How much would it cost to appreciably upgrade that?

Well, I would be happy with a 300 dollar one. Those cost in the 100 range.

Alright... I'll say it before someone else does.

Fleshlight. The gift that keeps on giving.

If I were 15, and I had one of these... I'd probably never leave the house.

So your suggestion is...

I'd have been thrilled if my parents bought me a hard drive for my birthday when I was 15... but then again when I was 15 I spent nearly $500 of my own money on a 4 GB drive.

I would love to get a 300gig HDD for my bday. You say he plays wow? If his parents dont pay for his account, why not get him some pre-paid game time. I think you can get cards with up to like 6 months of game time.

Thanks for the Hot HDD deal. I've got my eye on the SATA version for about $130 shipped without rebate. Maybe I'll get that ATA unit for myself!

I thought the same thing about getting a HDD for a present. Although I'd like it myself, he may not think it's so great. He is juggling files to create space, so he would appreciate it to some degree.

I bought my older son that Receptor radio a couple years ago for Christmas, and I could have sworn it was only about $80. Well worth that price because of the amazing tuner and incredible sound. Went to buy one this Christmas and found the price at that $150 mark! A nice gift, but a tad extravagant at that price.

15 year olds can't handle a kegerator.

and the issue of stocking it with kegs would be tasking for them.

if he's serious gamer, how does he prefer his sound??? Speakers vs headphones?? Sound is serious for me, and good headphones are all i use. With good headphones you can direction of approaching enemies, location of fire, ect.
