birthday idea's

I have a birthday coming up in a few days, and i've been wanting to replace the fans, power supply, and fan controller in my Thermaltake Xaser III series case. The stock fans are gettin pretty old and loud, so i'm looking for a new brand of quiet fans that can be good for gaming. I dont overclock, but my room isn't the coolest room in the house and tends to get muggy on summer days, and my pc gets pretty warm.

Thanks!

Panaflo L1A or Vantec Stealth. If you get Panaflo make sure you get them with the connectors.

I took a look at those fans, I think i'm gonna go with Vantec. They seems to have a better website and support. What about power supply and fan controller? Vantec aswell?

You might want to check out this link that was posted in the Hot Deals forum.
Panaflo 12L for $3.19 ea. or 10 for $2.65ea.
Personally I prefer these to the Vantecs. (Japanese or Chinese models)
The Panaflo's come with a 2-pin connector which you can connect to a 3-pin header if you snip off one of the alignment tabs. Or you can purchase 3-pin connectors for about $1 ea.
Depending on your noise tolerence you may not need a controller cause they don't make em much quieter.
I use a Vantec Nexus fan controller to control 4 of the fans in my comp, and it works well.

As for a power supply if you are looking for quiet you should check out the Seasonic Super Tornado
It is the current fave over @ SPCR.com.

i have the vantec stealths and i'd suggest going with the panaflo fans. as much as i like the stealths, they make some odd noises sometimes (like the aren't spinning evenly). they also don't seem to take to my rheobus very well unless i'm running full speed.

either way tho, you probably aren't going to be disappointed.
