I'm 16, don't want anything computer related, but out of ideas. I don't think my parents want to just give me cash, since that's what they have been doing for years. I already have money invested in mutual funds, so I'd like to use this for something, not just saving.

I was thinking a portable DVD player, since I take the train for ~3 hours about once every two-three weeks to see my girlfriend (we've been together for two years), but once we break up, I won't really find a use for that, plus I'll be driving in a year.

I'd really like an Xbox 360, but thats a bit over my budget, and I can't find it anywhere, anyways.

Anyone else have ideas?

You know, I was thinking about this a few months ago, but I can just see myself buying a PSP and never using it after the first week :\.

Just a realist 😛. I'm 16, we're not gonna be together forever.
 
Any thought into the RC world like cars, trucks, planes, boats? It is a fun hobby to get into and been doing it for over 20+ years.
