March 20th is my sisters birthday, she'd going to be 22. I just want some input on what girls might like at that age. Obviously she is older than me (definitely more mature, well read... and a better all around person) So what can I get her? Please any idea's are welcome well except ones that are perverted, biased . The rest of you can bluther off (I got that from Robin Hood men in tights  )

Please.... I'm tired of getting perfumes every year... :(

Hi,

I think thats sweet of you. I guess when people get older, it does not matter what you give them, its that you actually thought of them that counts. :) Not really helping am I... Why not something she might make use of at work or uni? ;) Cheers!

My sister near that age loves nice moisturizers - and I usually get her that. It isn't quite a perfume...

As a 22 y/o female... :p

If you have some extra $$$ to throw around, you should get her "Light Blue" by D&G. My favorite perfume...

But for non-perfume-y stuff, you can never go wrong with a gift certificate to a spa or something like that... if your sis enjoys pampering and such.

Do you know her style of dress? Vintage, cute, clubby, casual? If so, maybe you can have a female friend go with you to pick something out... a girlie can never have too many baby t's. :)

Maybe buy her a book, since you mentioned she was well-read?

You could always make her a CD and write her an "I love you sis and I'm happy to be your brother" poem or something to that effect... personalized gifts are always the best... :)

Good luck!

If she's in school or about to graduate, maybe a briefcase/attache case or something.

i am 22 and recently have had to buy bday gifts for my girl friends that turned 22. some of the things i've gotten them are as follows:

1. some people chipped in to get a coach purse.
2. lip gloss from chanel (can't believe these cost like $25).
3. some people chpped in to get her a day spa.
4. banana republic clothes.

it all depends on what type of person she is and stuff. you know... but i dunno... these are the types of gifts my friends receive/give.

She's haa a boyfriend for the past year and half... sorry man :p
hmm.. bath and body works.. that's cool. But there are perfumes in them no??

eLiu.. Tickets are good a idea.. and they don't have to be specially for tomorrow.

Dezign... my sister is into the Donna karen... kenneth cole things... that equates to me being broke :( It might be worth it :) plus she has books I'd probably find at the library of congress

bolomite...She already graduated college in 3 years :Q ... she works in a lawfirm.. I guess a new back pack is cool

So right now.. I'm going between a nice cuddly teady bear... card...travel/work bag.

i'm a 23 year old older sister to a 19 year old younger brother. if he got me anything i would be happy! it really depends on the person tho...i would suggest not getting the stuffed teddy bear unless she collects those. who wants a stuffed toy from their brother? hehe.

if you are bad at picking gifts, i would just get a GC to her favorite store. some people think these are impersonal but i'd rather have that than a wasted gift! and really, it's the thought that counts :)

i'd also suggest getting a book if she likes to read as well. perhaps a special edition of her favorite book? or somethign along those lines...

i also LOVE tshirts, so if she likes those...pick out some cute tshirt you think she might like!

and if all else fails, bath and bodyworks always works :p

- Flowers
- Bath & Body Works / The Body Shop lotion (Cucumber melon is a crowd pleaser, raspberry and vanilla are also popular)
- Body care/shampoo from Origins

Nice and classy....how about a subscription to some smut while you are at it...and Amish didn't you know they were called "neck massagers"

Actually funny story about that...I knew these two women who were roomates and they had this gag where they had a "neck massager" and each would take turns hiding it in the house to "suprise" guests that might come over...well one of their fathers came over to visit and stayed the night...he opened the spare sheets and blankets and out popped the "neck massager"...they said the look on his face was priceless.

Things from The Body Shop do wonder for little money.

A bit more money, then there it manicure, pedicure, and facial.

And there is such things as spa/resort if you have lots of money.
