heh...made me recall my wife's cousin calling to tell her that his wife/gf (I'm not sure which) is pregnant. He said they were using the rhythm method. I told him it sounded like someone missed a beat.

go to a gynecologist or planned parenthood so she can get on something that doesn't make her sick. there are tons of bcp options.

It's "Mirena" - this is a progesterone containing IUD.

Pros: lighter periods, good chance of having no periods after a while (months), not having to take a pill every day, no estrogen (no nausea), excellent contraception

Cons: usually a few months of spotting, insertion can be painful, some spot for weeks and at irregular intervals, can be costly up-fron

Implanon - progesterone insert in your arm. Problem again is spotting, and the removal is not fun, neither is the insertion. Use if no other method works for you.

Another method is Depo - provera, every three month injection.

Go with Mirena IMO.

she did go...

She gets lots of problems. The mood swings, she feels very sick, she keeps geting infections....

the doc told her that the one she is on now is one of the weakest of all the pills so that going to another would just make problems worse. He said that the pills have started to take action on her liver, so it may be a good time to move on from it.

I wanted to do the snip. but she does not want me too.

How can removal be "fun" for either? I mean, Minera goes right in there...

Nah, Mircette has estrogen too. If she has gotten sick on any OC then she would get sick on that too. Micronor is a progesterone containing pill that would work, just getting used to the spotting (as with any progesterone option) is the problem.

Removal of any IUD is relatively "easy" but the insertion can be painful.

Ask doc for progestin only contraceptive.
Camilla, NorQD, Micronor, etc...

or a "low dose" estrogen contraceptive.

maybe the doc is a salesman, but he said that all pills would do the same thing. no matter what pill you take.
