Birkenstock's may not be the most fashionable sandals, but they are the most comfortable...

I'm on my third pair and I wouldn't treat my feet to anything less.

My Doc sandals are pretty comfortable. Of course I never would have bought them if they weren't on mega-clearance (ended up being about $20)

They only feel good if the fit is perfect otherwise the rigid sole/edges makes it a pain. My roommate has a pair and sometimes i would accidentally step on them when putting on my own shoes and the edges really dig into you.

no, chacos.

easier to get on and off, more comfortable, can get wet, not as smelly, don't wear out as fast.

I had birks for 5 years and swore by them untill I got a pair of chacos

Never heard of either, but they sure do seem expensive. Maybe I'll try one when there's a sale or something.

I've heard nothing bt praise for Birkenstocks and Keen sandals, but man are they expensive! I was looking to buy some until I realized that they're around $100. So I bought a pair of Merrell High Tides instead. Maybe not as comfortable, but a hell of a lot cheaper and meant for physical activities. maybe eventually I'll buy a pair of Birks if I have the money to spend.
