I see that we are imitating them and very flawed in comparison. They kick their feet off the ground and flap their wing to fly. While we on the other hand need alot of room to take off and uses alot of fuel as well which is very polluting and destructive to the environment. We're still behind nature. Helicopters don't flap, they spin and spin; blowing everything away around it, again extremely flawed. Also birds don't crash but airplane do and they have the amazing ability to glide down smoothly. We still have alot to learn from nature. They need no runway and can land anywhere even on the power lines. :)
Too bad we're just not made to fly and airplane is not really the answer to that. We're slowly killing environment competing with nature, turning this planet into a wasteland. Airplanes also make alot of noise, birds don't. You see what I'm saying?

birds are also eating worms straight from the ground and living on branches getting nailed by the elements.

Most birds weigh in at under 1 pound, and all have hollow bones. Airplanes are tipping the scale at thousands of tons, and have a superstructure made of steel.

Excellent comparison you made.

HAHA... no wonder your avatar is blonde.

First off - yep, airplanes use lots of fuel. Have you seen how much birds have to eat?

Yep, lots of birds can jsut jump off the ground and start flying. Have you watched a duck take off in a lake?

Yep, helicopters spin, they DO make wind (I dont see how this is flawed), have you ever been near a large bird like an eagle or similar sized bird, while it was flapping its wings?

Birds dont crash? Hmm, they tenfd to run into my windows every once in a while, dont know about you.

I'm sorry, yeah, birds can land on telephone wires. I guess when bopeing designs it's next jumbp jet, they should make sure it will have the capability to land on power lines.

Competeing with nature? Um, when was the last time you saw birds charging ticket fares to fly people around?

Birds dont make a lot of noise? You know anyone with a pet parrot, or cockatiel, or any other bird for that matter?

Dont birds have to spend 90%+ of the day eating to have the energy for flight?

My cat sucks. It can only catch Piper Cubs. It almost got a Long EZ once, though.

"Also birds don't crash but airplane do and they have the amazing ability to glide down smoothly"

what happens when you shoot a bird, i don't think it comes down nicely.
also when birds land they use their wings to slow down. they push them in a way that it blows everything around them. becasue their wings are small not much happens, but if they were as large as a 747 or C-130 or a B-1 they would have more effect then helicopers. see below.

At ZZZ online, they had a link to "Project Ornithopter." It was a plane that flew like a bird. There is an mpg showing a test flight. Which is misleading since it didn't fly. It almost did though. Pretty neat to see.

You got to have a pretty smart kitty to catch an 'EZ. All of the failures are just piles of fur next to the runway...it's the pusher prop y'see......

If you have any spare Cubs around, send one over. Low & slow beats nuthin every day of the week.

nah, the only reason he almsot caught the long EZ is cause he jump out in front of it on the runway while it was taking off. He still missed it, though.

And he usually tears the fabric up pretty bad on the cubs he catches.
