I have a pet parakeet that I keep around me while at the computer sometimes and he likes shiny things. A lot. A whole friggin lot. I'm talking a fat man to burger king on a hot day after running 10 miles and not eating for 10 days lot! :Q Thats a lot!!! :Q:Q:Q:Q:Q
Well, this gets nasty when I have a CD bottom up! You wouldn't believe how far my arm can reach when my bird is walking and pecking at my favorite CD (Beastie Boys- Paul's Boutique)!!! See, my bird can't fly (old football injury...well, not football, but an old injury. It can't fly more than 20 feet and higher than 2 feet off the ground, so basically, its first inclination is to walk now...it got injured when it was about 9 months and its 6 and a half now!) so he doesn't see my coming and fly away, so either he walks off (nooooo, end the scratching! He has fairly sharp claws...enough to scratch a CD...) or I pick him up off of it with no resistance from him. Such a nice bird...but not too bright.
Well, fortunately he hasn't scratched any CD more than a hair...and fortunately my favorite CD is amazing scratch proof! I think its time to start putting CDs away after I use them regardless of whether I'm gonna use them in 5 minutes again or not!
Anyway, I just wanted to use that fat man analogy really...sorry to waste your time.
