Birds are some of the best musicians. Have been since forever.

We enjoy music because we find patterns of elegance. Bird song is communication, and naturally there are many and varied patterns within their songs. Aside from humans and possibly sea mammals (whales and dolphins), birds probably have the most complex languages. They have to communicate over distances, unlike many other animals (and humans) who rely on facial/body language as well. You need sophisticated language to have what is essentially an aerial communication network.

I love going out on a beautiful morning and hearing the birds. There are so many (and so many kinds) where I live.

Amazing piece OP. Yea, you should see what the result of a pelican attack are like, my car was so bad one morning I thought it had been trashed by vandals, it was Pelican effluent, in such quantity it ran down the hood and dripped on the ground, over to the car wash, STAT!..

some birds are amazingly clever or capable, and have influenced man since before the caves. i'm not a bird enthusiast, but you have to be impressed with the incredible performance of the peregrine falcon, the efficiency of a goose or the awesomeness of my favorite, birds of paradise.
