I was looking out of the office window and i see a small brown bird, a thrush or sparrow type. it was eyeing up a worm, you could see its mind calling "I'm gunna eat you little wormy".

Then from the sky swooped down a Magpie and stomped on his head and then plucked the poor little fella and then ate it :Q

all the while the now eaten birds friend was making a right old fuss trying to distract the magpie but it didnt help, so he flew off in search of new friends or a hiding place from the magpie.

So what did you see today from your office windows

There was a woodpecker on the same tree for a month or so in my apartment complex. I saw him every time I got in my car to go to class. His hole kept getting bigger and bigger.. until he could actually go in it.

Then, as I was getting into my car, I noticed the woodpecker.. and almost instantly, a hawk (at least I think it was a hawk) smashed right into the tree and ripped the woodpecker out. The woodpecker was making really loud awful sounds as the hawk just flew away with it.

one day I heard an extremely loud sound of something backing on the siding panels of my neighbor's house. I go outside to see some sorta of hawk or eagle that is flying about, landing sometimes, and other times slamming into the side of the house. Next thing I witness is it landing in my neighbor's backyard and proceeding to park and tear apart a sparrow that was held within its talon's the entire time.

No bird cannibalism here - just the dumb ones that keep flying into the windows...

About 20 years ago, I've seen a crow pillage a sparrow's nest, flying away with one of the chicks in its beak, then landing on a roof and pecking at the chick's body until it ripped it apart and ate it... while the chick's parents and other sparrows were circling over the crow, and chirping desperately... it's been a while, but the memory has stayed with me all these years...
